SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

1.1 System Requirements:

Before installing nimēṣa Real Time System Controller (NRTS), it's essential to ensure that your system meets the necessary requirements. These requirements typically include:

  • Operating System: NRTS may support various operating systems like Windows, Linux, or macOS. Ensure that your system runs one of the compatible windows 10 and above operating systems versions.

  • Processor: Check the minimum processor requirements. Usually, a modern multi-core processor is recommended for optimal performance. In windows i3 and above will be suitable for RTS controller software.

  • RAM: Verify the minimum RAM requirement. NRTSC requires an 8 GB of memory to run smoothly.

  • Storage Space: Ensure you have enough free storage space on your disk to accommodate the installation files and any additional data NRTS may generate during its operation.

  • Graphics Card: Some software may require a dedicated graphics card for certain functionalities. Check if NRTS has any specific graphics card requirements.

  • Other Dependencies: NRTS may have dependencies on other software or libraries. Make sure all necessary dependencies are installed on your system.

1.2 Licensing of RTS Software

RTS software often requires a valid license to access its full set of features and functionalities. Licensing terms may vary depending on the specific software update. Divadesam provides a lifetime software with RTS Controller Hardware. Users may need to purchase a license or obtain a license key to activate the software updates in the future. Licenses may be issued for individual users, organizations, or specific usage scenarios, such as academic research or commercial use. For academic research free lifetime software updates are provides subjected to the compatibility with the existing hardware. It's essential to comply with the licensing terms and ensure that the software is properly licensed to avoid any legal issues or restrictions on usage.

1.3 RTS Old Version Update

If you're updating from an older version of nimēṣa Real Time Controller, it's crucial to follow the proper update procedure to ensure a smooth transition and prevent data loss. Steps for updating NRTS may include:

  • Backup: Before updating, it's advisable to create a backup of your existing data and configurations to avoid any loss during the update process.

  • Check Release Notes: Review the release notes of the new version to understand any changes, bug fixes, or new features introduced in the update.

  • Update Procedure: Follow the same procedure provided by Divadesam for software installation. This involves running an installer, executing specific commands, or following a set of instructions provided by the company.

  • Ensure the software update/patch is compatible with the existing hardware.

  • Testing: After updating, thoroughly test the software to ensure that all functionalities are working as expected. Verify that your data and configurations have been migrated successfully.

1.4 Installing the Software

To install or update nimēṣa Real Time Controller software, follow below steps. Installing the nimēṣa RTS Controller Software requires the following steps in the specified order:

  • Check whether the software has been already installed on the host PC.

  • If any RTS software already installed in the host PC, run the software update patch installer .exe File.

  • You must first install the software before installing any hardware component in the host PC.

  • Check whether your system meets the requirements for software and hardware installation.

1. Download:

Download software/driver package from the link divadesam.com.

The password for the software download is RTS serial no. Or use the software package/ update patch saved in a pen drive provided with RTS controller.

2. Connect the device with the power source.

3. Connect LAN cable to the device (RTS) and the computer.

4. Main installation package contain the below folder.

5. Nim_RTS_INSTA folder contain following subfolders.This folder contains main installation files .exe and visa drive files (for window 10, window 11)

6. Ni-visa .iso file contains following subfolders

7. Run Installer:

Double-click on the installer file (Nimesa RTS_1.3.exe) to start the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the installer.

8. Configuration:

During the installation, you may be prompted to configure certain settings such as installation directory, shortcuts, and preferences. Make the necessary selections based on your requirements.

9. Set IP of your router & PC in the range of 181.81.81.2 to 181.81.81.255

10. Completing Installation:

Once the installation is complete, you may need to restart your system. nimēṣa RTS Software will not be launched directly from the installation wizard but it will be installed within the MATLAB software.

11. Verification:

After installation, verify that NRTS software application has been installed correctly by checking the nimēṣa application under the APPs tab in MATLAB environment.

Nimesa_RTS folder contains all library functions and environmental variables, this folder can be upgraded timely.

1.5 Setting up Wi-Fi Connection for Remote Use

If you intend to use nimēṣa Real Time Controller remotely over WiFi, you'll need to set up the WiFi connection. Here's how you can do it:

  • Network Configuration: Access the network settings on your system and select the WiFi network you want to connect to.

  • Authentication: If the WiFi network requires authentication, enter the appropriate credentials (such as a username and password).

  • Connection Test: Once connected to the WiFi network, perform a connection test to ensure that you can access the internet and communicate with other devices on the network.

  • Firewall Configuration: If you have a firewall enabled on your system, make sure it allows NRTS to communicate over the WiFi network. Configure any necessary firewall rules or exceptions.

  • Remote Access Configuration: If NRTS requires specific settings for remote access over WiFi, configure these settings within the application. This may include specifying the IP address or hostname of the remote device you want to connect to.

1.6 Uninstalling the RTS Software

  • If you need to uninstall the RTS software from your system, you can typically do so through the standard uninstallation process provided by your operating system.

  • On Windows, you can go to the Control Panel, select "Programs and Features," locate the RTS software in the list of installed programs, and choose to uninstall it.

  • On macOS, you can drag the application icon to the Trash or use a third-party uninstaller tool.

  • Before uninstalling, make sure to backup any important data or configurations associated with the RTS software.

  • After uninstallation, you may also need to remove any leftover files or registry entries to ensure a clean removal of the software from your system.
